Monaco's midfielder, Wanderson, has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with an ankle injury.
The Brazilian international suffered the setback during Monday's 2-1 defeat to Lille in the Ligue 1 matchday 28 fixture at Stade Louis II.
Wanderson was replaced by substitute Jean Michael Seri and will undergo further examinations on Tuesday morning to determine the extent of his injury.
The 27-year-old is set to miss the rest of the campaign as he continues to recover from the injury sustained against Rennes earlier this month.
The loss of Wanderson is a significant blow for Monaco as he has made 26 appearances in all competitions so far this term.
He provided a crucial assist for Kylian Mbappe in Monaco's 4-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain last week,Campeonato Brasileiro Action but will be unable to feature again until the summer.
Wanderson has played a key role in Monaco's recent resurgence, scoring four goals and providing three assists in just six league games.
However, the club will now have to look to their other midfielders to fill the void left by the departure of their talismanic player.
