Youssef Ahmed, who previously served as the club's assistant manager, will take over from Mohamed Elhaddad, who is currently the team's director of football.
Ahmed, who was born in Egypt and moved to Qatar at the age of three, had previously worked with Al Ahly SC in Egypt and has been a successful youth coach and manager in his home country.
He has also won the Egyptian League title twice, the Turkish Super Cup once, and the AFC Champions League once.
